Triple Celebrations for Telford Catering Company

A Telford based company headed up by Bridgnorth businessman Richard Davies (pictured), who supply catering equipment across the UK are celebrating a hat-trick of good news during this bumper year.

Earlier this year Catering Centre UK invested in new hire equipment for the catering industry, and began marketing to new businesses, and have picked up orders all over the UK – with over 30,000 items out on hire over Christmas alone including 5000 thousand Champagne glasses. Also bucking the UK trends, during 2013 Catering Centre UK expanded, invested £100,000 in relocating from Telford’s Business parks of Halesfield to larger premises in Stafford Park, and invested in new equipment and expanded their team to a total of 10 employees, they have since secured further new contracts installing commercial kitchens both regionally and nationally.

MD Richard Davies (pictured) commented “For us and many companies it has been tough in recent years, and the catering industry has faced many challenges, but investing as we did over the past twelve months has meant that we now have the most up to date and extensive range of both hire and purchase stock in the region, with a fully equipped showroom and our interactive test kitchen coming early 2014, alongside our online quoting and ordering systems.”

Many catering suppliers across the Uk are challenged by customers buying just on price, but Catering Centre UK also offers Richard’s vast experience of over 20 years in the industry, and his family who have been providing catering solutions for three generations in the area “you could say catering is in my blood” adds Richard “but for nearly 100 years my family have been at the forefront of the catering industry across the UK, and I have that wealth of experience to offer all our customers from hire right through to planning out and installing commercial kitchens. Our most recent contract is in London installing an £300,000 service centre kitchen for a major in flight catering company, delivering quality food all over the World. We not only supply the equipment from ovens to pans, but also created the whole layout of the kitchens, extraction and even the work stations with conveyor packing solutions. We look forward to similarly large contracts which are coming on line in 2014 through our continued investment and personal service”

With plans to launch a new £35,000 website in the new year which will speed up quotes and ordering processes as well as allow customers to both purchase and hire on line, 2014 is set to continue their success.
