The new-look Dormy House Hotel in Gloucestershire is launching a series of events as part of a new initiative called `To Do at the Dormy`.

Billed as occasions `not to be missed`, the programme includes two events as part of the popular BITE Festival 2014, an opportunity to dine alongside former England rugby captain Phil Vickery during the start of rugby’s Six Nations championship and a luncheon in the company of celebrity milliner Robyn Coles.

Gareth Coles, Food & Beverage Manager at the Dormy said: “The events promise to be sparkling occasions and all of them will take place in our new Garden Room restaurant. “This varied programme marks a new departure for the Dormy and an opportunity to showcase great food, wine and craftsmanship.” Starting the programme on Monday 13 January is A Grand Night of Chablis involving the renowned French vintner Vincent Dampt.

According to the wine critic and writer Oz Clarke, “Chablis prides itself on minerality and Vincent’s wine demonstrates what the word means.”  Vincent is from a family of vintners and runs his Domaine in Burgundy with his brother Sebastien. Over drinks, canapés and a three-course dinner with matching wines, Vincent will be sharing the secrets of his exceptional Chablis including his Grand Cru 2011.
