BIRMINGHAM TOASTS ARRIVAL OF NEW CHAMPAGNE BAR

Birmingham’s most hotly anticipated leisure venue is to up the glamour stakes even further with the opening of a new £150,000 skyline champagne bar.

The sleek Laurent Perrier lounge will join Marco Pierre White’s new restaurant, offering stunning views of the city from the 25th floor of The Cube building on Commercial Street.

Marco’s Birmingham is already fully booked for dinner service for its opening two weeks and the arrival of the Laurent Perrier bar is sure to boost its popularity even further.

The 50-seater Laurent Perrier lounge is a joint venture with Sanguine Hospitality Ltd and will be the family-owned champagne house’s first bar outside of London.  Positioned alongside the restaurant, and above the boutique Hotel Indigo Birmingham, the venue reflects the group’s bid to create an exclusive new aspect to Birmingham’s leisure scene.

Nick Taplin, managing director of Sanguine Hospitality, said: “Laurent Perrier is one of the world’s most renowned champagne brands and we are delighted to bring the company’s first UK bar to Birmingham.

“There is a real taste for affordable glamour in the city and we’ve set out to deliver a 21st century destination. This venue will allow people to sip excellent champagne before enjoying exquisite food at Marco’s and perhaps even an opulent night at Hotel Indigo.

“With the restaurant and hotel set to open early next month, followed by the Club & Spa in January, these are really exciting times for us and the new Laurent Perrier bar is truly the icing on the cake.”

Steve Brandwood, Sales Director for Laurent Perrier in the UK said: “The house of Laurent-Perrier has a pedigree for innovation and is renowned for achieving many firsts with the development of its champagne range.   It’s a natural fit to be partnering with the forward-thinking people at Sanguine Hospitality on such an exciting space – the top floor of an iconic and futuristic building.”
Hotel Indigo and Marco’s at the Cube are scheduled to open on December 2.  Availability at Marco’s is limited for December and January but bookings are being taken.
