Michael Gajdos Falcon Legacy Falcon Hotel in Stratford

It is a long way from studying law in the Czech Republic, but Michael Gajdos has graduated to a top conference operational role at a Stratford hotel.

The 29-year-old has been appointed Conferences Manager at the Legacy Falcon Hotel in Chapel Street.

Michael will be the main point of contact for conference organisers during the day to ensure everything runs smoothly.

“While I was studying law at university in the Czech Republic, I enjoyed working in various departments in hotels which gave me an insight into the hospitality industry,” he said.

“I have worked in the conferencing department at the Falcon hotel for the last five years and I am delighted with my promotion.

“I will be working closely with Sian Pirone to look after our conference organisers to make sure our clients are happy with our service because in the current financial climate it is important to give added value to customers.

“We have a good business here for events – large or small – because of our range of suites, refurbished accommodation, on-site parking and our central location in Stratford.

“There are a lot of venues competing for conference business in the region but the standard of our facilities and the staff here is a definite plus and I am looking forward to putting the Falcon hotel on the conferencing map.”

Sian Pirone, regional sales manager at the Legacy Falcon Hotel, said this was a key role at the venue.

“We are the location for a wide range of events ranging from conferences organised by national companies to reunions held by UK-wide groups,” she said.

“Michael’s knowledge and expertise of the hotel and the industry as a whole will mean our clients have a first-class service from their initial booking enquiry to the event itself.”
