Green Cow Farm Shop & Deli Producers Event

The newly opened, but quickly established Green Cow Farm Shop and Deli in Bridgnorth opened up to tastings for local foodies, with local producers offering tastings to many lucky visitors.

These included Fresh Asparagus from Quatt Farms, Bridgnorth, Chase Vodka (previously Tyrrells Vodka) who recently launched their much acclaimed ‘Chase Gin’ and whose representative Lorna Hollings (pictured) said  “We have had a great day, tastings are a great way to meet our customers face to face and gain valuable positive feedback. It’s rewarding to see how much they enjoy the genuine quality of our products after all the hard work that goes into making them and growing the ingredients on our farm.”

Other exhibitors will include Once Upon a Tree (Sally Booth Pictured below), who have been producing fine Cider, Perry and Apple Juice since 2008. All estate grown and bottled at Dragon Orchard in Putley, Herefordshire. Dragon Orchard is a small traditional fruit farm that has been tended by the same family for over 80 years.  Sally Booth from Once Upon a Tree said “We have had a wonderful day at the The Green Cow, with lots of positive feedback, and orders, which makes it all worth while.”

Other companies at the tasting day  included Herefordshire’s Franks Biscuits, Birmingham based Creating Taste (Owner Brothers, Phil & John Daniels pictured below) who make a huge variety of home-made luxury ready meals and other products including marmalade’s and vegetarian sausages, as well as Craven Arms based Castlemoor Farm.

Sally Berger, one of the three owners of the Green Cow said “Today has been a great success, and we will be holding more tasting days. The cafe has also been really busy today, so peole enjoyed staying and tasting the produce as part of a more hearty meal with the family, which is what we try and promote.

The Green Cow opened in November 2009, and their ethos is to offer locally grown and sourced food, wherever possible at a reasonable price but of superb quality.

The Green Cow is located at the at the livestock market, Tasley Road in Bridgnorth.
