Orange Tree, Chadwich End, Solihull
The Orange Tree, Chadwick End – It’s Warwickshire. It’s gorgeously trendy, the menu has “eat me” written all over it and the staff are young and beautiful … it could only be another Paul Salisbury/Paul Hales pub.
Like its siblings, The Barraset Barn, The Boot Inn, Lapworth, Mortons Kitchen, The Farm, Solihull and the Crabmill, this addition to the family also displays that happy knack of making you feel good just by being there. Cosy sofas, big chunky tables and chairs, lots of nice touches, it looks great and it’s comfortable too. There’s money round here and it shows but it’s still cool.
It’s the perfect setting for a stylishly-direct menu which offers food that’s young and fun, simple but impressive. Pizzas from their wood fired oven, and pastas are all there as well as salads, duck confit, spit gammon and crushed potato, steaks and calves’ liver. Not just any old chips here either but- Belgium fries which come with mayo, continental style
