ROMOLO – SHREWSBURY’S NEW RESTAURANT AND LOUNGE BAR IS NOW OPEN
Over 150 people attended the launch party of Shrewsbury’s new Italian restaurant and lounge bar, last Saturday (03 October).
Romolo Restaurant Shrewsbury, is the brainchild of Albright Hussey hotel owner, Franco Subbiani, Romolo, is located next to the River Severn on Victoria Quay and is now officially open. It is named after the son of head chef and partner in the business Claudio Murru as well as Romulus who according to Roman mythology founded Rome with his twin brother Remus. In addition to the restaurant, the upstairs lounge bar will host live music, comedy nights, DJs and cocktail mixology evenings throughout the year.
Commenting on the new venture, general manager Adrian Bibart said: “The team here worked hard to ensure the launch was a success and will continue, now that we’re open, to meet our customers’ high expectations. Our aim is to prepare food and cocktails using the freshest ingredients served in a simple way and in a relaxed atmosphere. We are very grateful to the many friends and guests who attended the party.”
